Cardi B Addresses Ariana Grande’s Comment That Ex-Mac Miller Got “Snubbed” At Grammys In Now-Deleted Video
Instagram just got boring, y’all. The most entertaining person on the social media platform Cardi B deactivated her account after receiving an onslaught of criticism for her history-making Grammys win.
The Bronx rapper, who became the first solo woman to pick up an award for “Best Rap Album of the Year” on Sunday for her debut project Invasion Of Privacy, shared her feelings about the disparagement that followed her big win in a now-deleted video she posted before exiting Instagram.

In it, she addressed her feud with Nicki Minaj, which compounded Sunday when BET praised Cardi’s Grammys win on Twitter and threw shade at Minaj, tweeting: “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.”
“It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else, that’s not my style and that’s not what I’m with and I don’t support that,” she said, indirectly addressing BET’s comments. Following the outlet’s tweet, Minaj canceled a planned appearance at the BET Experience Concert this summer, where she was scheduled to co-headline with Cardi B.
The Dominican-Trinidadian hitmaker also addressed knocks from commenters, including Ariana Grande, who said the Grammys snubbed her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who was nominated for a posthumous “Best Rap Album” award for Swimming.
“I been taking a lot of s— today, I’m seeing a lot of bull— today and I saw a lot of s— last night. And I’m sick of this s—. I worked hard for my motherf—ing album,” she said, indirectly responding to Grande, who wrote that Miller had slept many nights on the couch in his studio while working on the LP.
“I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow,’ everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed, Cardi got snubbed.’ Now this year’s a f—ing problem,” she said. “My album went two-time platinum, my n—-. And every chart that there was, my album was always top 10. Number 1 album as well. I f—ing worked my ass off.”
She also emphasized that the award-winning project was made while the 26-year-old rapper was pregnant with her daughter, Kulture Kiari.
“I locked myself in the studio for three months, my n—. Didn’t go to sleep in my bed sometimes for four days straight — pregnant!” she said. “Some songs couldn’t even get on the f—ing album because my nose was so f—ing stuffy from my pregnancy. N—-s couldn’t sleep, n—-s couldn’t do s—.”
After her win, Cardi said that she was “sharing this Grammy” with Miller, whose parents attended the award ceremony and celebrated the rapper’s accomplishment.
“I read an article that Mac Miller’s family said that if he don’t win, they want me to win so I’m sharing this Grammy with you mother f—er. Rest in peace,” she said, sharing a screenshot of the article to her Instagram.
This isn’t the first time Cardi has deactivated her account. The “Money” rapper also deleted Instagram last May, following her beef with Azealia Banks.
With that, prepare yourselves for an unexciting Instagram experience until our girl returns.
