Cardi B has taken over the charts — today surpassing Queen Bey as the first woman to have five Top 10 singles on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart simultaneously — and she’s now coming for the silvery screen. According to TMZ, the rising Dominican-Trinidadian rapper inked her first movie deal.
Sources tell the celebrity news website that the “Bodak Yellow” rapper will begin shooting for the film in March, though no other details about the movie, like when it’ll release, what it’s about and who else will star in it, have been given.
Cardi, who kicked off her career on VH1’s reality TV series Love & Hip Hop and last year appeared on BET’s Being Mary Jane, hinted about the movie deal earlier this month on Instagram and Twitter.

“My biggest dream might come true this month or next month,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Crossing fingers… I talked about this a lot in interviews.”
In true Cardi fashion, she made that shit happen. Keep makin’ those money moves, mami!
