Selena Gomez’s New Puma Collaboration Is Turning Profits Into Donations For Research And It’s Kind Of Making Me Tear Up

Just a few weeks after unveiling her clothing design collaboration with Coach, Selena Gomez his kicking off a sneaker campaign. Fans of Gomez and the Puma brand will be equally, if not more pumped, to learn that the Latina singer’s newest line will help them fight for the greater good.

Gomez’s all-white sneaker line is launching with a goal to finally find a cure for Lupus.

According to Vogue, the athletic brand has pledged to donate $100,000 of its sales from the collaboration with Gomez towards the Lupus Research Alliance. Their goal: help find a cure for the autoimmune disease that has publicly affected Selena’s health for years. Last fall, the “Wolves” singer opened up about how Lupus destroyed her kidneys and had almost taken her life during the summer of 2017.

The sneaker line called the Phenom Lux, features gold touches, a removable anklet, and some chic matching socks.

“I’ve been wearing some fun socks with my sneakers and it just makes me feel a little bit more feminine,” Gomez told Vogue in a feature about her latest Puma collaboration. “I spent a lot of time creating a sock that felt comfortable, chic, and fun.”

Just when you thought Gomez couldn’t make getting athletic and embracing your femininity sound any cooler, she had to go on and score an awesome donation deal for us too. Ready up your PayPal accounts chicas, this line comes out on April 6 and will be shipping sneakers at $110 a pop.
